On this page, I've put the links to the six parts of a 1986 documentary about a team of blacksmiths under the direction of Francis Whitaker, building a Samuel Yellin-style gate. Features Jack Andrews and my old teacher Fred Christ.

Orphaned blacksmithing videos This IFI page links to individual blacksmithing videos whose host channels/pages aren't specifically blacksmithing-related.

cheers for the links, already subscribed to about half of them, so I must be able to at least recognise people who know what they are doing!

Denis Frechette's  is one of my favorites.  Maybe I like it because we share interests but I just think his videos are shorter but packed with loads of information.  Currently he is trying to get people to send in pics of blacksmithed antiques in order to create a repository for people to research ideas and techniques.  I imagine some of the users here could overload him with images of classic work.

I just spent about 6hrs. with John Bennett today at the IBA meeting. He does real nice work and puts on excellent demos.   Life is Good.   (and so were the ham and beans with cornbread)           Dave

My wife is going to eventually get sick of watching YouTube videos of blacksmithing. I have to mix these in with standard TV, haha.  Great resource, though. I already subscriber to some of these channels. Now I'll be able to view more!
