Curling Vine Birdbath

Recommended Posts

cc1Paoh.jpgThis is one of my most recently finished projects. It was fun to make, although I had some trouble working with the sheet metal. Any tips/advice or reading material anyone can recommend would be very much appreciated.

That's really nice, good work. I especially like the wrapped collars on it. Are they hiding welds or do they solely hold it together?

Very nice. Only downside is that with my limited wireless connection it took forever to get even half the picts to down load.

Wow, amazing work. You could find an old tractor rear wheel center for the bath if you want. A lot of hard work has gone into that, well done!

Amazing work! I agree the red does throw you off haha!! What gauge sheetmetal were you using!? I use a shot bag for my sheetmetal work but I'm using 18g and thinner! I start on the outside edge and work my way to the center to get a domed shape while using a Delrin mallet

Love the wraps with the viney squiggles. Nice leaf video too. I like the texture you get with the peen. Great work!

Really nice job! I love the wrap finials, very snaky or wormy, looks like the components are being held together with trained long wigglies. Oh okay, vines if you must. <sigh>

I really like it and the red doesn't bother me a bit. Whatever the customer wants is the right color.

Frosty The Lucky.

Thanks, I'm glad you all like it. My local hardware store had run out of black undercoat and only had the bright red left. I couldn't be bothered to drive anywhere else so red it was!
