aametalmaster Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 Since we are bending here is my Scroller and it is motorized with a 60:1 gearbox and a 3/4 hp motor 1,000+ inch pounds of torque. I can scroll 1,000 pcs of 3/16"x1" metal in a day with no effort or strain on my body like bending them by hand...Bob Quote
petersenj20 Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 Bob- Is that shop built or commercial. It looks simple to make. Can you post some pics of the individual scroll pieces looking straight down on them. I would like to make a manual scroller for my bender and need the dimensions. Quote
aametalmaster Posted December 16, 2007 Author Posted December 16, 2007 The scroller itself is a Shop Outfitters Metal Bending Tools Tube and Pipe Bending unit. The design of the base and gearbox setup is mine. I will get you some pics Monday...Bob Quote
Valentin Posted June 12, 2008 Posted June 12, 2008 Bob does the ''spinig'' stops when u stop pushing the button ? or u have a counter that counts how many rotations the machine made and every time it stops at a given amount of rotations ? I am also into building one right now ...but it will take some time until i find the time to finish it ! ...Right now i am building the counter and the software for it Quote
aametalmaster Posted June 12, 2008 Author Posted June 12, 2008 I would rather have a foot switch that turns it when stepped on but the drum switch works fine. So yes i have to flip the switch to start/stop it...Bob Quote
