beammeupscotty
This is a piece I complete yesterday as a gift for a customer whose kitchen I just finished remodeling. I have made this design a two or three times now and have continued to refine the elements until I am pretty happy with the overall look of the piece. Frosty
Another nice bouquet. Do you leave enough open space in the flowers to hold a drop of essential oil for a little smell?Frosty The Lucky.
tonyw
Very nice -- I like the simplicity. Why is the front right curlicue different than all the rest?

beammeupscotty
Another nice bouquet. Do you leave enough open space in the flowers to hold a drop of essential oil for a little smell?Frosty The Lucky.Probably but I am allergic to fragrances so I won't be adding any oil myself. Very nice -- I like the simplicity. Why is the front right curlicue different than all the rest? Each one is different, or intended to be anyway. I think it looks more organic that way. Very nice, sir. The leaves and petals are spectacular. What finish did you use?The piece is de-scaled and colored with heat. In this case I applied a satin acrylic clear finish for rust prevention. The flowers are, by the way, intended to be our State flower, the California Poppy. The leaves are intended to emulate sword ferns.

I thought they looked like flowers. Showed my wife the photo and she said 'nice poppies'. There you go ... wives know everything.
