LibrariaNPC
Hello again everyone! I've been silent for most of the winter as I've been working on reading due to the poor weather that has kept me indoors instead of in the yard hammering away at metal. This weekend, I took a class with JWS and hammered out these two knives. I'll be cleaning them up and snapping better photos of them (and my other knives) once time permits. For now I'll leave these here for your enjoyment and input! TheoRockNazz
Lookin good! Might want to consider grinding the lower one back just a bit more so the edge is uninterrupted
LibrariaNPC
Could you elaborate on what you mean by "grinding the lower one back"?
ThomasPowers
At the back end of the blade section there is a bit of cruft. I was thinking you could grind a smooth curve that would fit the curve of your forefinger when holding the knife, maybe even sweat a piece of copper to it to gussy it up. LibrariaNPC
So that sharp angle between the blade and the handle should be grinded down a bit more to be a smoother transition and be a better finger rest?
TheoRockNazz
Yes; and I meant it looks like an inclusion runs across the width of the blade to the edge couple times. This would be where it breaks if it was pushed too far. I would recommend narrowing the blade a wee bit until they do not reach the edge of the knife, thankfully it looks like the core has a solid/consistent weld
