ThomasPowers
Gee I first did that in Indiana 44 years ago definitely *not* "unique" to Alaska
SpankySmith
This southerner has never seen such a thing before - it's AWESOME! I would have never even speculated such a sound would result from skipping a rock on ANYthing. Very cool, thanks Frosty.
Steve Sells
I have noticed many not from the snow belt get shocked at things us northmen find common. black ice, icycles, the sound of spit at -40F hitting the ground, the concept of frost bite, and swimming with the iceburgs on new years eve are a few things my wife can not understand. Bob S
A friend who lives nearby (Minnesota) had one of these (ice circles) form in his creek last year. About 18" diameter. Very neat.
