njanvilman
Wow, they certainly covered a lot of topics: forging, heat treating, machining, open/closed die. Very informative of an industrial that is vital to our world.

Bruno C.
My favorite part is the Guy that was wearing gear/face mask and a full shield to operate the huge steam hammer :), and the factory floor full of large lathes was cool too. I wonder how many if any of those behemoth machines still exist let alone are in use today. I truly hope many have been spared the trip to the scrap yard. patrick
Take a look at the Scot Forge website to see what is currently going on in the open die forging world.
Frank Turley
I particularly liked the terminology used throughout. Nowadays, we hear things like, "It was too fat, so I squished it!" or "How much whackage should I give it?" That's funny and kinda' cute, but let's get real and talk like smiths sometimes.
