saustin1967
Found this site searching for anvils to start beating on steel. Was inspired by a good friend, from MP Knives to build a forge and try my hand at hand forging knives. I'm new to smithing, so be kind. Have been make stock removal blades for, well pretty much all my life, as long as I can remember, mostly for myself. started burning up old files on my dads bench grinder pre-teen. Always had an interest in actually shaping metal. Great site so far, think I will poke arounbd fro a while, see what I can learn.

ThomasPowers
Ha! I'm so far in west Texas I have to go over 4 houses to *be* in Texas! "Deep East Texas"---isn't that just Lousiana with better BBQ? Worked a job in east TX; I much prefer the "high and dry"!
