Robert Mayo
I made this little knife yesterday for a test piece from the 8660 alloy i had tested to see how it performs. It is stock removal. Blade- 3 1/4" to the handle o.a.l. is 7 1/4 Sterling silver at the blade end of the handle With a stabilized koa handle All comments welcome. ladysmith
That's a really nice knife. I particularly like warncliff style blades. Nice strong temper lines. What did you use between the sterling silver and the koa wood? Pam
Robert Mayo
Pam it is just epoxy between the silver and handle. The blade was clay coated oil hardened tempered twice, etched then buffed because it will get used hard. Thanks for commenting. Bob
Dodge
Wicked, Robert! That would look good with a matching wood sheath :)

nc_cooter
Robert, looks like a useful blade. Let us know how the 8660 works out.
Robert Mayo
Wicked, Robert! That would look good with a matching wood sheath Everyone keeps telling me that but i only had one small piece of the koa. If it was not to work with i might. Mike i hope that it stands up i have about 40-16" pieces that a friend picked up at a ice skate blade making factory that went down. I had the alloy tested and came back with this. Thanks for the comments guys! Bob
