Glenn Posted December 3, 2013 Share Posted December 3, 2013 Dan Hinton November 21, 2013 Parkersburg News and Sentinel Dan Hinton, 58, of Waterford, Ohio, is now breathing freely as of Nov. 19, 2013. He was born in Marietta, Ohio on July 2, 1955 and was the son of the late Paul Russell and Frances Mae Flesher Hinton. He retired from AMP Ohio; he had worked part time for Leavitt Funeral Home, and was a member of the Celebration Center in Belpre. He was a member of the ABANA (blacksmith association), the Appalachian Blacksmith Association, was Commander and past Commander of the Sons of the Union Veterans, General Benjamin Fearing, Camp #2, a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, a member of the 91st Ohio Volunteer Infantry Company B, the Western Washington County Historical Society, the Washington County Historical Society and the Belpre Historical Society where he demonstrated his art of blacksmithing. He was a historical blacksmith teacher and demonstrator and made many historical pieces for our area including the Chester Court House door hardware.
