njanvilman
Cocobolo is a great wood for turning and other decorative uses. Nice clean work. The grain of the wood compliments the blade pattern.
bigfootnampa
Be very careful of cocobolo! It is sort of a poison ivy of wood types! Especially dangerous to the woodworker exposed to the dusts!
Loneforge
I wear a mask when grinding blades and when shaping NASTY woods...Thanks for the heads up just the same. Eddie Mullins
Very nice look and profile and proportion. It looks to be just about the right size to me. What are the blade and handle lenghts?
Loneforge
The wood is stabilized and then I finish with a couple coats of tru-oil. Hand rubbed with fine wool to give a dull shine. Thanks Theo.... What are the blade and handle lenghts? The blade is 4 and 3/4" and the handle is 5". Thanks Eddie...it's weighted nicely and does feel good in the hand.
