When you click on pic number 6, it pops up and at the bottom, there is a caption that says it is a paper towel rack. It is not in the main text of the post. How did get that texture on the metal piece you mounted the cross on Yes indeed that piece came from a wagon made in the 1800's and that part had been strapped to a piece of wood on the wagon that had been in contact with wet ground in eastern North Carolina.
