j.van
hey guys! how practical is it to want to make a belt grinder with no welder? and if practical, any idea how much it would cost for all the materials?
toolish
Mate no welder is going to be a real challenge. I just made mine but i needed the welder to put all the scrap together. You will most likely need to buy the contact wheel and the ball bearing spindal and a motor, unless you find the right type of junk. All depends on what you can get your hands on. I would look for an old welder, got mine for 40 bucks, makes things easier.
Eddie Mullins
There are free plans out there for no weld grinder, just Google, you'll find em. I have a welder so plan to use it, but am trying to find components myself. The large contact wheels and idler wheels can be pricey. I think that automotive or other bearings can be used, but the question is which ones...
