Stash
Plenty of people around here should be able to help you, but srsly- a picture or 2 beats the living daylights of a 1000 word description. Steve
kuvash
Thanks...but I don't even own or use a cell phone anymore maybe some weekend my wife can do it when she comes up here or maybe my son. In the mean time,I'll just start puttin' it together.I had a smaller version of one of these that I nought along with a 125 lb anvil from an old man in Bremerton/Port Orchard area of Wa. state in about 1968.kuvash
Steve Sells
part of the problem is we can not see what is there, nor missing from your new forge, with out a photo, so your reply of "before you drag my butt over the coals for that...just tell me if you might have anything to seriouslly contibute." isnt going to help you much in getting information. that type of reply pushes people off as well. its like being asked "how do my pants look with these shoes?" If ya cant see them, how can ya offer anything ? post a photo and you may get some information

kuvash
I do apologise...I am 66 y/o worked in the metal trades for years in many different phases of it...started to learn the forge in 1968,I have built several of them and have kept my hand in it my whole life....I have figured this one out as well....I figured I could probably do it faster than I could talk about it .Thanks again, sorry for offending anyone...now back to work. kuvash

kuvash
Dear Mr Moderator..I would like to at least state my case.I do understand that pictures help.First off the reply by "Swedefiddle".."It looks good from here,no picture no description must be brand new" I did take as a smart alecky answer to an honest and sincere attempt on my part to find out some information AND I seriously doubt that that person in particular knows the difference between a Buffalo Forge #212 Rivet Forge and a Bufco #061 Forge...that sir was the point of my reply. If HE didn't have something constructive to add.I know there is a lot of knowledge within this forum I respect that and I myself am still continuing to learn....so I ask questions.I stand by my reply however...I was given a "smart alecky" answer....and I don't feel my answer to that person was out of line.
