Nick
Yesterday I made a joking comment to my wife about me being easily distracted by bright, shiny objects. She immediately replied that I was easily distracted by rusty objects. I'm a rust magnet, any time I see something rusty I've got to take a look. 1 year on July 1st, and yep, she's got me pegged posted
keykeeper
You Might Be a Blacksmith if........ while driving out some quiet country road, you have an un-controllable urge to peek into every dark recess of the farmer's equipment shed you are passing by, on the off chance there might be a lonely anvil (or forge) looking for a new home in there!!!posted

ThomasPowers
If you have ever brought a billet and borax with you on a business trip to Germany in case you could sneak in a little forge time... (The smith at the open air museum Bad Windsheim was kind enough to "share"---actually he demanded I demo billet welding to him as he hadn't done it before.)posted
