matthew stagmer
It was a nice way to start off a week. My old highschool tech ed teacher has been trying to get me to come get his old anvil and coal forge for awhile now, so Sam and I picked them up on friday. I was super happy to find out the anvil was a fisher and the forge was in great condition and ready to fire. We have had the parts to make coal forges, but ever since I have been at BKS we have never gotten around to setting one up and it just so happens that we have developed some new axe products that could use a coal forge for the edge welds. Needless to say I am excited that we fired the new forge up first thing this morning and Sam made use of it fast! It pretty much stayed lit all day. Just thought I would share a few photos of it flaming up for the first time :)
ndnchf
Nice score - congrats. That looks just like mine except mine has a full hood. They are nice forges. Be sure to oil the blower.

Ridgewayforge
That is a nice looking forge! She should serve you well for years to come!
matthew stagmer
She has been fired almost everyday since we got her. We still use our propane forges more often then not, but it's nice to have the option and the heat almost on demand. So happy to have this lil forge.
