Glenn
Fred Crist and Dave Mudge report that Jack Andrews passed Sunday morning. Our condolences to the family. Jack Andrews wrote and illustrated "Edge of the Anvil" what many consider to be the definitive source of information.
Frank Turley
Memories. I attended in Albuquerque a Jack Andrews demo/presentation a number of years ago. I wanted Jack to sign my copy of his first Edge of the Anvil, published in 1977. I was a little ashamed, because the book had been used in my shop so many times that it was dog eared, had dirt and burn marks, and the cover was tearing away. I offered it to him for a signature, and he hollered for everyone to look at the book. He held it up and praised me for using the book so much, no matter the condition. Needless to say, I got my signature.
Herb Upham
Jack's "Edge of the Anvil" was my first book on blacksmithing and I have given copies of his "New Edge of the Anvil" to several aspiring smiths. These books are a fitting memorial!Thank you Jack!
