Woody Posted January 4, 2013 Share Posted January 4, 2013 Could I please solicit your prayers for Jackie's daughter, Kristy, she was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, yesterday, She will have surgery soon to remove the thyroid gland and surrounding lymph nodes. Woody Posted January 22, 2013 Author Share Posted January 22, 2013 Kristy came out of surgery fine. She was in the OR for about 5 hours. The tumor had wrapped around her esophogus and it took a while to get it off there. She is doing good has normal pain associated with surgery but otherwise ok. Woody Posted January 24, 2013 Author Share Posted January 24, 2013 Kristy is out of the hospital and recuperating here at the house for a couple days, she has a chemo treatment with Radioactive Iodine (Iodine 131) in about a month, that should take care of any errant cancer cells.
