eric sprado
In an old song book I have sheet music and words to Blacksmith Boogie. I'll try to work on it if I can find it and maybe put a recording on here. I'm a better fiddler/musician than blacksmith. Last year at the Mt Hood Meadows Western States Conference we put together a blacksmith band. Folks decided to call us the "Clinkers". Had great fun!!! Frank Turley
Ella Mae Morse, one of my fave singers, renders The Blacksmith Blues about a Kentucky horseshoer. I was in my teens when she came out with it in 1952. Her many other songs I liked, but especially Cow Cow Boogie and Mister Five by Five. She thrived in the big band era (my era)! Chancellor
This one's hilarious, gotta watch the video! My favourite is the first. "Sure I dream as the hammer strikes the anvil And I dream as the sparks light on the floor, Of my blue-eyed turtledove, She's the only girl I love, As she stood outside that good ol' smithy door." Chancellor
I never have understood why "The Blacksmith" Is usually sung mostly by men. The first line is "A blacksmith courted me". Seems it should be by a woman: I like it by Sheila Chandra better, but you'll have to search for that video on your own :P

samtheox
I need my music when I work, a perfect blacksmithing song would be "Lord of the Blacksmiths" by Falconer. It is power metal with a great singer. Very melodical voice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FoYSwGNGksQ
