I Forge Iron

New twist to an old poem

I overhaerd my wife reading to some of the little ones:

For want of a nail, the shoe was lost,
for want of a shoe, the horse was lost,
for want of a horse, the rider was lost,
for want of the rider, the battle was lost,
for want of the battle, the kindgom was lost,
All for the want of a horseshoe nail.

I realized that there were at lease one line missing:
For want of a blacksmith, there was no nail.
and:
all for the lack of a blacksmith...
(yes, I know that this could also be "farrier", but I'm not one of those as yet)
