chichi Posted May 10, 2012 Share Posted May 10, 2012 Dancho, It seems to me your hammer would be better for manipulating the iron because a slight bend of the wrist causes a significant change in the angle at which the hammer face meets the iron. Hofi's hammer might be better for striking top tools and flattening because the relative closeness of the hammer face to the handle means a full face blow is more likely to occur.
