jeffro1205 Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Well I started messing around in the basement a few days ago and wanted to make something for Valentines Day for my wife.... I had some copper wire and some thin copper sheet metal and this is what I came up with...She loved it but she thinks everything that I make is great... So I wanted to try to get an opinion from others who make things... Let me know what you think and if you have made a flower and have pics please share them... thankshttp://s1103.photobu...opper%20flower/ Quote
jeremy k Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 Jeff - Nice Job - When making flowers, it helps to distort the edges of the petals, Like this : Quote
beth Posted February 19, 2012 Posted February 19, 2012 i like how youve done the flower nice and delicate - and how youve marked the petal, also quite like the twisted stem :) its very pretty. jk's advice is good too though, rippling the edges adds something, and perhaps flaring the outer petals out slightly more than the inner. but thats being really picky ( like i like people to be with me :) ) and the flower is beautiful done as it is. nice one- bet she loved it :) Quote
jeffro1205 Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 2.0 Second flower, thanks for the tips. I think this one turned out better, and she claimed this one too... http://s1103.photobucket.com/albums/g474/jeffro1205/copper%20flower/Copper%20flower%20number%202/ Quote
