ISTR *1* example of such found in a viking era women's grave; but not the standard type for that time/place at all BTW viking is a job description---which women as a whole didn't fill; hence the viking era. Oh wow - "Brute de Forge" - I love it , never encountered that name - If i had the brains / time id love to do a book on these little knifes - seems like everyone has a story to them.
