yesteryearforge
A Whimiscal piece that came to mind while working on some mundane stuff Made from 1/2 " plate Sorry for the crummy photos
Larry H
"Whimsical" piece ?, ...not with that big nail
territorialmillworks
Yesteryear, outstanding....could you share a little about how you forged the fingers...did you drift and slit ??? Thanks, Keith
herchammer
I think that this is an inspiring piece; a rough beauty to it, and, the subject-matter tones down any "whimsy". Beautifully done.
Larry H
let me tell ya, it's a well done piece, ...not very "whimsical" , but well done. I like the fullering betwix the fingers, the nails are done beautifully, a little under cut on the tip of the finger on the next one could only add to the aesthetics. You are making more than one....right ?
kevan
Hardly whimsical.....it's art, it stirrs the emotions. Well done.

Tim McCoy
Funny how one man's scrap ends up creating such emotion once "worked". It would not have evoked the same feelings for me if done in a more smooth style. I regard it as the quintessential Easter piece. Thanks for sharing! Ten Hammers
Understood. Sometimes things just gotta happen. For me, it is the real meaning of forged. A very powerful statement.

Dillon Sculpture
Cool! There are a few around, the last one was almost a foot long forged from 1-1/4" plate! Weighed in around 20 pounds.
