bamboo knife

Here's a little knife I am working on as of tonight. Been wanting to incorporate bamboo as a handle and this is the prototype. As is I am thinking it's a nice, quick and cheap way to put together a knife, throw on a bit of a turk's head knot or something for a little fancier look. I am thinking this would be a nice steak set with all bamboo handles.





Process went as simple as this:

1 forge, grind, ht, polish/sharpen blade
2 jam into bamboo LOL

Hey Sam, I like the handle idea a lot. Do you have to add a resin to the inside of the bamboo?

That's quite nice. I agree. Adding some type of string wrapping to a part of the handle (Like right where the bamboo ends and the blade tang sticks out) would look really nice.
