forging titanium

I don't know anything about the alloy. We spun a LOT of Ti in Dad's shop and some of the rocket engine alloys wouldn't move at high yellow heat. I was WAY familiar with the heat, I was torch holder on a lot of hot spinning. Some Ti was/is really sensitive to temp, too cool and it's like spinning concrete, a little too hot and it orange peels, the surface gets a pebbly texture which tends to texture the rolling tool. Push it just a little hotter and some alloys just come apart.

A lot of alloys didn't seem to care what temp you spun them, they behaved well and didn't oxidize or fall apart.
