Greenbeast Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 A client wanted a custom asymmetrical curtain rail made with matching brackets, he works for an architect and so deals with houses and design and had ideas formed about what he wanted. As he doesn't have space for a finial both ends he opted for an asymmetrical design, it has a tapered scroll one end and a plain straight taper at the other. He wanted the brackets to look like they had been punched by the rail. He also quite fancied having it as a single solid piece, no collar-attached finials. This provided me with some challenge while working the steel. This is the result: Quote
Randy478 Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 Nice, simple and effective. The scroll looks really good. Randy Quote
Frosty Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 Looks like just what he asked for and a nice job of it. I'm thinking you'll be asked for more such items. Good on ya. Frosty the Lucky. Quote

petere76 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Green, Nice job...I hope the client is pleased. The symetry and balance works well in the condensed shape. (form and function) More often than not, the toughest task is making the complex seem simple. You did that well. Congrats. Peter Peter Quote
