Glenn Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Drop hammers are interesting as gravity does the hammer work. This hammer is interesting as a slack belt is used to engage the raising mechanism. Note 2:05 in the video the dies come out of alignment and at 3:30 the safety is placed on the handle to keep the lever from being activated while they adjust the dies with the handled alignment tool. Lack of ear and eye protection and wearing sandals in the forging area bothers me.drop hammer video on you tube Quote
BlissStreet Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 That number starting with +923 in the video title is the international exchange for Tajikistan. From my experience, everything gets done with sandals on. Ear and eye protection is something far from everyone's mind. The idea of workplace safety is a western luxury. More gets done with out it world wide then I care to think about. Quote
