BM454 Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 A friend of mine was hurt in a logging accident a few weeks back. The community is banding together to have a benefit auction to help out with the bills and such. My neighbor and I made a couple of knives to donate for the auction. He made the stag horn blade and I made the spike blade. Scott Quote
CurlyGeorge Posted July 23, 2011 Posted July 23, 2011 Nice knives. They should be well received. Thanks for sharing. :) Quote
BM454 Posted July 24, 2011 Author Posted July 24, 2011 The last count I had on the knives was almost $300 between the both of them. The family we donated them to really needed it. Quote
KRA Posted August 8, 2011 Posted August 8, 2011 Such a nice gesture. I made a large bowie knife and gave it to the American Legion post in the small villiage where I live in Ohio. The Legion members sold raffle tickets for $1 apiece for a chance on the knife. They raised over $700. This money is all given to various charities in the villiage. More than the money though, it gave me such a good feeling to contribute to a good cause. I can only imagine you feel the same. Good work, nice knives. You're to be commended. Quote
BM454 Posted August 8, 2011 Author Posted August 8, 2011 Thank You It went to a very good cause. Here where I live, people do not ask for help unless needed. This family needed help and needed it badly. I was happy it brought what it did. I'd do it again and not think twice about it. Scott Quote
