alkhemy
Hi, my name is Peter, and I'm a Brit living in Los Angeles. I'm fairly new to forge work, having only had a taste in the past, but I just bought myself a forge etc, and I'm looking forward to getting into it. I have had some experience with cold work, making armor and swords for medieval re-enactment back in the UK. My wife says I have too many hobbies, but I tell her I have just one - making things. So far that has included stained-glass, leatherwork (including period footwear), carved wood furniture, sculpey, Precious Metal Clay (PMC3), cooking authentic Indian curries and traditional Welsh dishes (my family is Welsh), hand-sewn medieval clothing, carved Welsh love spoons, airbrushing and tattooing. When I'm not making things, I work for a major movie studio, looking after the systems we use to create the DVDs. I have a son and a daughter from my first marriage (my son is moving over here early next year), and a stepdaughter, son-in-law and grandson from my current marriage. Other interests include making, recording and listening to music (I play guitar and keyboards), ancient history and mythology, and anything to do with movies, digital video and animation. My forge is a simple coal-forge, the anvil is on its way, as are a basic decent hammer each for my wife and I. I have some basic tools and plan to work my waythrough New Edge of the Anvil to make more tools and learn the techniques. So there you have it... me in a nutshell.
