Dennis Ulery
I would like to know when the small anvil was made.
Sask Mark
Neither one of those numbers are valid Hay Budden serial numbers. They never had a serial number in the 400,000's, and the highest any of the 'A' serial numbers go to is approximately A57000.
CurlyGeorge
Post some pics of the anvils, and reclean and recheck the numbers and the manufacturer's insignia or name. Hay-Budden serial#s are under the horn on the left side of the base. :)
Dennis Ulery
I cleaned the small anvil better and the serial number looks like A16599. The large one has nothing readable where the serial# is to be.Hay budden is very clear on the small one and not so clear on the large one. CurlyGeorge
A16599 was made in 1919. I have a Trenton that I can not make out all of the numbers on, also. :)
