I am looking at culvert material as the fireplace smoke stack material is to small in diameter and to expensive. Look for old hot water tanks. They have a nice "pipe" in them about 5 feet long. ThomasPowers Posted November 1, 2010 Share Posted November 1, 2010 I went by the local Habitat for Humanity Re-Store and picked up 2 10" dia 10' long spiral seamed pieces of galvanized ducting for $4 apiece and then later found some SS pieces that I could use for the "at forge" piece for $10. Often the Re-Store wants more than new price for used stuff but enough times I have lucked out that I still check it out regularly.
