EZDUZIT
Need your help. This is my son's first hammer and we are new to this. I just picked up a LG hammer yesterday. The guy i got it from didn't know if it is a 25lb or a 50lb. LG. It was his dad. All i know is this thing is heavy. It took 3 guys to just lay the top half on a roller that was at the end of my trailer. Then we put some come along, then lift the bottom and one use the come along to pull it on to the trailer. It is like 6' tall. the # on the back is N0953 4-95 any info would help my son and i out. Thanks Oliver
Thomas Dean
The flywheel will have the ram rating on the front. The letter "N" does not indicate that it is a Little Giant. The 25# has the lette 'H' and the 50# has the letter "K" prefixing the serial #. Here is the link to Sid's Little Giant web site http://littlegianthammer.com/ You can email him the serial # and he will tell you the year made and who first purchased it and where it went. Dave Hammer
A 25# Little Giant is about 5' tall or less, and weighs about 750 lbs. A 50# is at least a foot taller and weighs about 1800 lbs.

peacock
Sure way to tell is measure the main shaft diameter. 1 5/8 inch for 25# 2 inch for 50#. Hope this helps. Phil
Bentiron1946
They're not real hard to confuse, like was said it says on the front and a fifty is monster compared to twenty-five. I have moved both and there is huge differece in what you gotta lift, one can be done with a decent crew of friends and the other takes a fork lift, a big fork lift.
EZDUZIT
Thanks for all the help. I got a hold and sent James Johnson from Anyang power hammer some pics. and he thinks it's a 50lb. I took Thomas Dean and James advise to call http://littlegianthammer.com/ and they told me it's a 50lb. They even told me when and the name of the person it was sold to. The # 4-95 is the date that http://littlegianthammer.com/ rebuild it.So thats cool. Thanks
