Warpaint Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 I am completely new to this so be gentle. I have always like watching folks work with iron but never tried myself. Now at almost 60 I have a desire to give it a go after finding a anvil near an old silver mine here in Montana. Any thoughts on how to get started? Again I know nothing about this. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers Warpaint Quote
MRobb Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Welcome to Iforge Warpaint. This is a great site with many very knowledgable and helpful people. You have the desire and an anvil, so you are well on your way. You will need the usual things, hammers, tongs or pliers and a heat source. Either gas or coal. If you post where in Montana you are, then there may be someone near you who can help you on your way. Good luck! Mitch Quote
