cavala Posted May 5, 2010 Posted May 5, 2010 I'm sure many of you have seen the news it's being called the 500 year flood. Many people in middle Tennessee have been hit hard, many in my neighborhood. We left our house Sunday night in a boat and expected the worse. Our house is bone dry, you can see the water line just barely crested at our foundation. My new shop did not not make it out so good, I was told there was 4ft of water in it. Thankfully I have not moved in yet so no tools were injured. I'm gonna need to do some sheetrockin and the landlord is covering all the expense. Here's the lesson many people are learning if you live near water and they say your house is not on a flood plain I'd get the insurance anyways too many people are finding out the hard way. Hasn't flooded in our liftimes doesn't mean it won't ever flood. My heart goes out to the many who lose there homes in these acts of nature floods huricanes eartquakes. You never think it could happen to you, well it can. Marc Quote
