Rich Hale
This trailing point knife is about a foot long and the blade is a quarter inch thick 440 C stainless. Heat and cryogenically treated. The scales are mammoth bone. The Bull on the face side is protecting his female partner on the other. A full side view of a female elephant. This past weekend the knife was entered in the knifemaking competition at the Knife Expo 2010 show in Pasadena Cal and was awarded the trophy for the best engraved knife. All work on this knife done by me. Thanks for looking, Rich Hale

markb
Rich Congratulations on the award, well deserved. Your engraving looks like it could be considered carving. I guess engraving is carving, but looks like you went beyond. Are you using a scope, optivisor or? Gravers and hammer or machine? Allways enjoy seeing your work Mark Post some more pics if possable.
