Mark Emig
Here's a couple of candleholders I banged out today. Got the idea from a blacksmiths journal I had laying around. 3/4" square stock, collar is 3/8"x1". and the base is 1"x3"x3". Sorry about the poor picture quality. I learned how to do the collars from Wrought Ironwork-the cosira book which you can download free. Got the size of the collar by adding the perimeter plus twice the thickness of the collar-worked out pretty good. Judson Yaggy
Hea, looks familiar! Gotta love that Journal! I also make the individual holders shown, chiseling done in 2 heats on my flypress, dishing in one heat, candle holders from square tube. Mark Emig
Thanks All, The plans called for a groove cut in the upright and then wrap a rod in it-I just liked the oversize collar better. Mark
