Iron Falcon 72 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Does anyone have a good source for one? Is the HF version any good? Quote
Johnny Woolsey Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I have a HF version about 10 yrs. old and had no trouble at all, until I misplaced it. Purchased a new one and in 3 hours the drive pin broke. It was replaced for free and broke in almost the exact same place in 2 hours. They sent a new one but I am looking hard for the old original . Bentiron1946 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I have an older one so I can't tell you how the new ones are, but my HF has given me good service. One of the problems with most HF air tools is that they are prodigious users of air. Quote
Gayle Brooks Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Zipp Products, pneumatic tool, vibration reduction air saw, shock reduction air hammer, air hydraulic riveter, industrial air saw, chipping hammer, universal swivel air inlet joint, low backlash planetary gear reducer, air sander, air file, air impact I have a version of this. Its an air hammer with an attachment. I modified it when the particle board diaphragm broke with a metal one I made. That was 6 years ago. Quote
BIGGUNDOCTOR Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 I found an older inline model ( USA made ) at the flea market. The problem I have found with cheap air tools is that they use a ton of air due to the loose tolerances. You get what you pay for. I used it for chipping paint off machines we were rebuilding, but mainly use it for peening welds on cast iron now. Works like a dream for that application. Quote
