cedavis1092
My old mentor used a special rubber polishing wheel to restore a mirror finish to a dull or slightly tarnished blade. I seem to remember he called it a "unitizing" wheel. He had it on an 8" bench grinder. Has anyone ever heard of this, and where I can get one? Thx! pkrankow
I hope those wheels last a while for that price tag! Phil

Dawg
For the price of that wheel you can get a used die grinder and a lot of scotch brite to do a good polish job.
horseshoer1983
i use a 1/4hp 1800rpm baldor buffer and 2 wheels to polish and sharpen my hoof knives. with the slower speed there is less risk of ruining the temper.
teejay
They work great the one I buy is 6x1 1/4 and it lasts for almost 2 years and that makes it pretty reasonable. It figures out to about $30 a year
