D.C.M Ironworks
This is the best site I have found in five years of looking!!! thanks to all who have made it possible! I'm 17 years old and have wanted to be a blacksmith for 11 years, ever since watching a demonstration in denver CO. I lived in denver for six years ,lead SD for seven and macomb MO for four, so i have been all over the place. I just built a brake drum forge about a year ago and only just recently got fairly decent coal ,so I have been having some trouble, but now that i have all of y'all to ask questions of, i should do better! Thanks again to all of y'all!! doug
Thomas Dean
Howdy from East TEXAS!! and wlcome to IFI!! Check this site out and JOIN them!! www.bamsite.com It's the ABANA group in MO and a great buch of folks! My Great Grandfather was one of the founders of Spearfish, SD. Still have family up there and the house he and my Great Grandmother built is still used as a home. The city built one of it's city parks and named it after him "Evans" park. Fun history, reading about his adventures. Beautiful country.

Frosty
Welcome aboard Doug, glad to have you. My brother lives in Mo though that won't do you or me any good. Pretty country, lots of smiths to get together with fine the local orgainzation and attend a meeting, join, etc. you'll learn more in a couple hours of time with an experienced smith than months of teaching yourself. Believe me, I know. Frosty
