Oldfool
Hi all I'm Larry Matthews from Arundel Maine. I've been doing steel fab for several years and own a small company called Handymachines. I've always been interested in Blacksmithing and have noted that there is a very strong market for decorative iron and custom handrails etc. In my shop i have a small forge, CNC milling machine, Mori Seiki CNC turning machine, large manual lathe, small horizontal mill, huge sandblast booth, 8hp air compressor, gantry crane, vertical bandsaw, horizontal saw, 4' 100 ton pressbrake, commercial powder coat system, 5' x 5' CNC oxyfuel burning table, 500 amp mig wlder, Small TIG welder, Drill press and too meny hand tools. My latest addition is a Bement-Miles 250# steam forging hammer which I am converting to air. If anyone has any wisdom to add to the chris Coleman control system I'm all ears. Bentiron1946
I'd like to see some pictures of your conversion to air. It would be interesting to see. Chris Coleman lives out here in Ariz. somewhere but seems a little shy about personal visits to see his hammers so I haven't had a glance at one. Welcom to IFI.:D
