Frosty
Welcome aboard Alex, glad to have you. Being a long time science fiction reader and occasional dabbler at writing the words, "power beam techniques" bring fond visions to my minds eye. Heck, it could turn into a short story. Anyway, as Thomas says the learning just keeps happening as long as you keep doing. Blacksmithing is a wonderful alternative to high precision modern metal work. A wonderful way to relax while getting to know iron and steel in a much more intimate manner than a machine or fab shop can provide.
