Hello,

I'm recently retired and using my spare time to produce sculptured works of art. As a Blacksmith, I have used my significant collection of anvils, forges, swage, tools, and eye for design to produce some very unique art.

Most popular is my "Clams got Legs" series. I also use very expensive Harley Davidson Motorcycle parts to make large standup sculpture of verious themes: i.e. CHP Motorcycle Cop - The Predator - The Broken heart - Bonnie and Clyde - Indian - Frogmen - Pig - Yardbirds - etc.. These are getting a lot of attention.

I would appreciate it if you would visit my site and let me know what you think. I have a number of slideshows that will demonstrate my work. The site is still under construction by my brother, but we keeping adding new work every day.

Thanks - Danny - Home

Your site looks nice. I would suggest however enabling people to view your videos without having to download special software. Making the videos compatible with the software people can use to view UTube videos is my suggestion.

Welcome aboard Danny, glad to have you.

Someone just posted your URL, yesterday or earlier today. What I saw was delightful.

Unfortunately I already have too many single site viewer programs on my machine to load another, so I didn't get to see more than what's on your homepage.

I think I speak for the rest of the gang when I say we'd love to see you post some pics here. We love pics. ;)

Thanks for the encouragement.

I agree that downloading a temporary viewer to look at my pictures is not always the best way to go. However, "Proshow," the software I used to make my slideshows, enables a viewer to Pause, Enlarge the screen to full size, control Volume, etc.. These are hard features to ignore, especailly the enlargement capability. Without the viewer, the slideshows won't play.

I did however, create three YouTube Videos that are available for showing. I will add more later. Here are the YouTube Links:

The Predator: YouTube - The Fishing Predator

The Forge: YouTube - The Forge

The Bone yard: YouTube - The Bonyard

Thanks Frosty,

I've just got started. My website has been up for less than a week and I've already had more the 500 site visitors. My brother and I are working hard to add more content. This is just the initial phase. I wanted to get started sooner rather than later, so we decided to take things in steps.

Later on, when time and budget allow, we will change the site to something more colorful and feature rich. But for now, "what you see is what you get."

Thanks for the link. Clyde has some GREAT stuff. No, I don't know him, but I can tell we're birds of a feather. I really like his opening dialogue.

Good for you Danny. Too many people wait till they have "everything" they need and never actually DO it. There's a big difference between being prepared and having EVERYTHING.

Clyde and Nan are great people with more than a dash of wimsy. I don't think he's marketing his CD tour of the place but it's a scream. If you're ever in the area you really must drop in for a visit. His place is cool in pictures and almost overwhelming in person.

What I've found is sites with all the bells and whistles are less popular (read effective attracting patrons) than a good clean fast loading, easy to navigate site. There aren't many people with the kind of money your stuff is worth that are going to load software just to see a slide show presentation.

Most folk do have Java enabled and there are plenty of applets available in that format. Nobody thinks twice while a Java applet downloads and runs.

I think your site is well done already, attractive, easy to navigate, easy to read text, great photography and more. It's just the neccessary software to view the meat that detracts.
