longfletch27
a buddy of mine works at a shop that puts lift kits and big tires on golf carts, they remove the stock leaf springs and and put on the bigger ones ect.. i got to take 5 or 6 of the stock springs and was wondering if any one new what steel they might be, they resemble the leaf springs on trailers and such. thanks bryan
Rich Hale
I just noticed you have had no response to this question. It may be a question that has no answer unlees you do a bit of research. You may be able to contackt the maker of the particular cart the springs came off of including a serial number. I suspect that the makers of carts do not always closely specify the steel they wish in the springs, The but so many sets of a certain size and weight carrying ability, The spring folks then make the selection of material. Research how to do some field tests on heat treating unknown steels and do some testing may be your best bet.
