Nihonius
Hey all, I go by the name Nihonius on here, you can also call me Nihon (it's my nickname) I made the name Nihonius as a Latinized version of Nihon because I am a prideful member of the Roman Army Talk forum. I'm really into history and am now wanting to get into weapon and armor smithing as a hobby. I guess I might ask here first if anyone knows a good source online for inexpensive blacksmithing tools (im really on a budget.) If anyone is selling their own and wants to get a begginer started, that would be awesome. Hoping to enjoy my time here, -Nihonius

Steve Sells
Is that anything like Nova Roma? Welcome to I Forge Iron.
Nihonius
Im not sure, I've never done much if anything with Nova Roma. RAT is run mostly by Roman re-enactors, though all are welcome to discuss history and re-enacting. There are good discussions and tutorials there. The people running it are history genius's in my mind. If you smith Roman weapons and armor, they can be particularly helpful in giving hints on how to keep your work historically accurate. I bought a set of lorica segmentata and a helm online, and they told me everything that was wrong with them. Someday I hope to make my own and look really accurate. Thanks for the welcomes -Nihonius
