ironantlerforge Posted March 15, 2009 Posted March 15, 2009 Has anyone ever used this stuff? I would like to protect some steel components that are going to be inside my new forge and I see that ITC 213 is for this purpose. It's pretty expensive at $75 a pint so I'm wondering if it really works. Does anyone have experience with this product? Thanks! Quote
Frosty Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 I don't know anyone who has but I'd sure be interested to find out how it works. I've had decent luck simply dipping my forge burner ends in kaolin clay slip while they're hot. It seems to make them last quite a while longer than the bare metal. Frosty Quote

Frosty Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 Welcome aboard Edward, glad to have ya. How well does ITC-213 protect metal? What metals to what heat, etc.? If you'll click "User CP" at the top of the page and edit your profile to show your location it can make a big difference. Frosty Quote
