  1. Straight to the point here. How did you shape your Brazeal Anvil around the Stepped radiused areas? I have a few tools to actually cut steel but I wanted to know how those before me did it. Thanks guys!
  2. Just want to thank Ethan Harty for forging these tools for me. I would buy from him again no doubt. 5/5
  3. Got another item off the to forge list over the weekend! forged myself a Brazeal style hot cut hardie with tapered shank and curved blade. did most of it solo as I was starting with just 3/4" sucker rod (4130), which is not terribly difficult to forge. had to enlist some help to forge the fullers and strike on the flatter because I ran out of hands. it is actually as small as it looks, my anvil's hardie is 5/8" so it had to be pretty small to fit. unfortunately because I started with a piece that I had previously squared up for an unrelated project I ended up with a much narrower waist th
  4. I've started a collection of hammers made by people I've shown how to forge hammers. Here are four that I have so far. Do any of you recognize who made these?
  5. Hey fellows! Last weekend I visited Joe to pick up a new military style portable forge I bought from him. We took this occasion to also work together for one day. Matt charged us to forge a rounding hammer for him and that fit very well because Joe wanted me to show him how to forge one anyway. I myself was taught by Alec how to forge them and he learned it from Brian... so it was basically forged with the techniques Brian Brazeal teaches at the moment. The hammer was forged out of 40mm car axle steel, the billet was 8cm long. After grinding it weighs 790g (1,75lbs) and is now ready for
  6. Hello people, on Thursday I have been out in my shop forging a pair of farrier-style tongs for holding 20x5mm flat bar. I´d be glad about some critique and advise. The tongs work good although I had to grind of some of the boss and jaw material in order to make them work... Here you can see the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5Drq9aLOeE And here is a picture of the finished result: Regards - Daniel
