    Hey I'm just starting out with forging/blacksmithing and I am think about selling my creations in the future and I was wondering if anyone could help me with a name I can put behind my products. I was thinking about having the name incorporate my middle name which is Bruce. But it doesn't have to if you have any ideas they would be very appreciated.

    I've been promoting, and I've been marketing. No business except for selling a few hammers on Ebay. I have been forging full time for 2 1/2 years and still have yet to find a bread and butter product to keep the studio rolling when things are slow. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get more traffic to my website, a bread and butter item, or marketing in general? I really love making hammers and tools, and I would really like to get into that market. It seems that the market for forged hammers and tools is pretty good, one just has to get in.

    I have been the Chief Estimator of an Electrical Contractor for the last four years. Prior to that I spent a few years as the estimator for a mid-sized commercial General Contractor. Recently I attended a professional seminar geared towards construction estimators (sounds fun huh?). That event left several impressions that I imagine the sponsors didn't intend.     Hello everyone! I'm hopefully going to be taking over a very old forge in a heritage area. It is an old boat yard forge on a canal where they used to make the lock gates and other waterways metal work. The forge has been disused since the 1920's but has just been restored. The current plan is to run it as a business, within public view either every day, afternoons or weekends (still working this out as I'm weighing up how much I can make from the public vs how much they will slow me down) I am currently on the NHIG bursary until August and will be taking over at that point.
