I was the tool maker for a CNC screw machine shop in Utah; custom saw arbors, gang saws, set ups to repair other people's goofs, etc..
I am back to being a maintenance mechanic , and back in Las Vegas for now.....looking to start another business of my own.
Why the move to Arizona ?

NIce work. I am in the opposite direction of Las Vegas than you are, Moapa Valley.

Chicken that outgrew the coop

Tension, and friction. When you hit them to seat them onto the part they spring some, and bind up in the hardy hole.

Actually, repairing a Fisher is a major job because a Fisher has a cast iron body with a tool steel top plate on the body, and horn. This is one where you get it, and use it as is.

I see 7. I also see power hammer parts. The trailer jacks can be useful if they still function. A tow cable. The center link is good tough stock. The plate with five holes is intriguing. Looks like some air brake cylinder that will have springs in them, and there appears to be an air bag in the back.

Niiiiiice! Silly guy, just unscrew it...
Pictures like this just reinforce my respect for tools, and machinery.

When it lands with the plate 90 degrees to you, it could get really challenging.....

A caltrop as a target....interesting............

Weld a thick plate on the end, and stand it upright. On its side it will have a lot of flex.

Beautiful work with nice clean lines.
You must have access to some good sized equipment by looking at the size of those joints....

I really like these. Very clean design.

Beautiful work, as are all of your items shown.

Very nice. I like the detail.
Dimensions?
Stock size used?

That "old style" was actually made up till a few years ago. I have some, and they are handy for roughing in castings, forgings, etc..

Very nice. I like the overall design.
