  1. This is the first knife i ever made. The overall length is 9 1/4 inch and the blade length is 4 1/2 inch. The sheath is just a quickie though.
  2. I am going to be making my own knife. I have another thread asking for some help with a few problems I am having
  3. I know how to sharpen the blade. I have other knives that i sharpen with the equipment that i have just fine. I have tried diamond sharpeners on this blade too. I have brought it in to be sharpened before but the people had the same problem as me. It just doesn't want to sharpen. It took so long for the edge to dull that the warranty is over on the knife, so i can't bring it back
  4. I've had this knife for a while now. When i first got it, the knife was pretty sharp. I tried to maintain it but nothing could keep it sharp. Now it is dull. The steel is only 420 stainless yet everything from metal to ceramic to regular sharpening stones won't sharpen it. Any ideas on how to sharpen it.
  5. Thats a really nice knife. What did you use to get it that sharp. With the knife i have now nothing seems able to sharpen it.
  6. I am pretty much new to knifemaking. What type and where can i get steel to make my first knife. I made the template already. Also I'm really low on budget so it can't be expensive. My tools are a hacksaw, a couple files, and sandpaper. Last question, i don't have access to any forge or anything like that so how am i going to heat treat it. Any answers will be appreciated. Heres the wanted design. It's at 50% of size. The first attachment is the full tang the second is finished.
